5 Sessions: March 23rd, 30th; April 6th, 20th; and May 4th from 3:30- 5pm
Instructor: Rachel Kieselburg
Location: Strikke Yarn & Supply

Knit the Field Sweater by Camilla Vlad together! This gorgeous sweater is knit top down, with a circular yoke and a gorgeous textured stitch pattern. Rachel will guide you through swatching and choosing a size, and give you lots of tips, tricks, and encouragement along the way.

Prerequisite: have knit at least a basic sweater before (any construction)
Materials to bring to class:
  • Field Sweater Pattern :
  • 1,148 - 1,969 yds DK yarn
  • Needles and notions as called for in pattern
  • Homework: Bring a blocked stockinette swatch to first class, minimum 5x5” square. It's recommended you cast on 1.5x the stitches given for gauge (for the Field sweater cast on 30 sts), work 8 rows in garter, then begin working in stockinette, keeping the first four and last four stitches in garter. Work until you have at least 5 inches of stockinette, and finish with 8 rows of garter. Bind off, and wet block. Do not stretch swatch as it dries, lay it out flat and pat into shape if necessary. If you are using a yarn that is not primarily wool, contact the shop at for blocking recommendations.

*If you are purchasing products before class starts, please allow time to select materials and have the yarn wound.
