There's no better time than the present to try something new! Join us for a relaxed crochet workshop to learn the basics. We will start with how to hold our hook and yarn, make chain stitches, turn our work, and single crochet stitches.
You Can Always Make Friends Felt Workshop - 10/11
Join us in welcoming Annika Elizabeth of You Can Always Make Friends to the shop for a special You Can Always Make Friends felted friend class.
In this workshop, you will learn how to make your own wool felted doll, like the ones pictured, using wool yarn and felting them. Create your own Alice doll, or lean into the season and make a witch, or an Oliver with pjs doll!
All materials are provided- including yarn, wool, & felting tools for use during class.
Raglan Sweater Class (knit) - begins 10/14
Knit your first sweater! In this 6 session class we will knit a top down, raglan sweater. We will be working on the Cozy Classic Raglan pullover by Jessie Maed Designs.
Knitting Basics 102 - Knitting in the Round; 10/17, 10/24, & 11/7
In this class we will knit a simple hat using the “in the round” technique. You will learn how to knit in the round on circular needles and DPNs (double pointed needles) and learn how to decrease.
Crochet Basics - Granny Squares; 10/17
Are you ready to level up your crochet? Dive into the wonderful world of granny squares in this crochet workshop. You will learn how to start a square in the round, make granny stitch clusters, and continue your square to your heart's desire.
Holiday Open House - Downtown Snohomish 11/6 - 11/7
Come walk around First Street in Snohomish and get in the holiday spirit! Nov 6th & 7th is the official kickoff weekend to the downtown holiday season, with treats, lights, decorated storefronts, window displays, cozy experiences, and more! We will be open late both evenings until 8pm.
Walled Garden Vest Class (knit); begins 11/7 (4 sessions)
Learn modular knitting with this cozy, log cabin inspired vest. Add as much color as you want, or keep it simple - up to you! Rachel will show you how to work modular knitting, folded rims, and split hems.
Introduction to Spinning; 11/8
Learn to spin wool on your own drop spindle! Try a spinning wheel! Dive into the rich global history of spinning fiber while experiencing different spinning fibers and learning the basics of varied spinning devices.
Gnome on the Roam - Wool Sculpting Class; 12/6
Put a gnome...on the roam... in your home... for the holidays!! Use specialized needles to sculpt wool with this holiday needlefelting project. We will learn basic wool figure building techniques and needle color blending. Each student will take home their own needle-felting needle and a finished gnome.
Winterfest Weekend - Downtown Snohomish; 12/11- 12/13
It's Winterfest Weekend on First Street!
Come to Snohomish 12/11- 12/13 for a three-day, family-friendly celebration downtown featuring gingerbread activities, ice sculpting, the Reindeer 5K, Parlour Tours, Santapalooza, community art, luminary classes, carolers, lights, and window-display contests all throughout the downtown area. We will have a special Make It, Take It Event here at Strikke on Saturday!
Make & Take Event - Woolly Magic Mug Rugs; 12/12
It's Winterfest Weekend on First Street! Come pop by on Dec 12th between 12- 2pm for a fun Make It, Take It Event with Gretchen Wilson. Indulge in a little holiday magic as YOU turn fluffy wool into solid fabric in just 15 minutes!! Using basic wet felting principles you can turn raw wool into a felt coaster with your own hands!! The coasters can be a canvas for further creativity, or used as they are. Each one is a unique expression.
All ages welcome. This is a simple felting craft that does not require sharp tools. Make a mug rug coaster for a sweet gift, or for your own cozy mug!
This is a drop in event, no registration. You may purchase in advance (bring your receipt!), or pay as you create. Please note, we do not have reserved time slots, table space is first come first served regardless of pre-purchase or instore purchase.
Strikke Social - Thursday Evenings 6pm - 8pm
Join us at the shop for some social project time! Socials are free to attend, no registration required at this time.
Doors open at 6pm every Thursday at the shop.

Need help getting started, stuck on a project, or just want to learn in a smaller setting? We offer 1:1 or 1:2 sessions for knitting and crochet.
Private lessons run $50/ hr per person and are by appointment only.
