Fixing Mistakes Class - Knit

Learn to fix mistakes in your knitting. We'll learn how to identify mistakes, ladder down to fix them, pick up dropped stitches, and insert a lifeline. Feel free to bring any WIPs with mistakes you'd like help fixing!

 

Experience: Knit 101, or basic knitting skills

Materials to Bring to Class:

  • DK/Worsted weight yarn and appropriately sized needles
  • Optional:
    • Crochet hook
    • Removable stitch markers
    • Waste yarn and tapestry needle
    • Small gauge circular needle (US 0/1/1.5/2)

      Homework: Cast on 20-30 stitches and work in stockinette for 3+ inches. Intentionally make mistakes such as:

      • Dropped stitch
      • Twisted stitch
      • Purl instead of knit
      • Split yarn
      • Yarn over 
      • Double wrapped stitch
      • Leave this swatch on the needles, do not bind off. 
      • Optional: work additional swatches in garter and ribbing, with similar mistakes.

       

      Class takes place in our new retail location at 1010 First Street, Snohomish, WA 98290

      Doors will open 10 minutes before class starts. If you are purchasing products before class starts, please allow time to select materials and have the yarn wound.
