Gaze Cowl Class
2 Sessions: October 12th & 19th from 1- 3pm
Instructor: Rachel Kieselburg
Location: Strikke Yarn & Supply
$75

Get ready for spooky season with Rachel and her very popular Gaze Cowl! Rachel will teach you how to confidently knit stranded colorwork, including choosing colors, working from charts, and managing long floats using the ladderback jacquard technique. The ladderback jacquard technique allows you to "catch" floats invisibly, even with high contrast yarns.

Prerequisite: Basic stranded colorwork experience recommended.

Materials to Bring to Class:

  • Fingering or sport weight yarn - 2 colors; wound
    • Main Color: 200 yards; Contrast Color: 80 yards
  • 24" circular needles in US 1 and US 2 (or size to match your gauge)
  • Basic notions- stitch markers, scissors, tapestry needle
  • Pattern: Gaze Cowl by Rachel Kieselburg (pattern can be found here)

Homework: Cast on and work until chart begins (ribbing and three rows of stockinette)

*If you are purchasing products before class starts, please allow time to select materials and have the yarn wound.
