Learn how to turn that knitted tube into a sock! In this class you will learn how to add an afterthought heel, toe and cuff. We'll go over threading lifeline and cutting your tube to make a pair of socks. Knitted tubes are perfect for quick knitting (and quick gifts!), and is quite simple once you get going. 

Plan ahead to have materials ready. See below for information.

 

Materials to Bring to Class:

  • 1 knitted sock tube, created from a sock machine, or hand knit (see Safiyyah Talley’s Knit 2 Socks in 1 book). Please note: creating sock tubes is not a service we offer at this time.
  • DPNs, or 32" or longer cable needles in size to match gauge (typically US 1)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Waste yarn in fingering weight
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape
