Learn to knit colorwork socks! In this class we'll work on tension, techniques for catching floats, color changing, all while working with small circumference. Colorwork socks are so fun, but can be a little tricky. This class will guide you through and you'll leave feeling confident with small circumference colorwork.

Pick your favorite, top down colorwork sock pattern to bring with. There are so many colorwork sock options out there right now! Check out some of our favorite socks to get inspired. 


Experience: Intermediate. Able to confidently knit small circumference in the round at small gauge, using magic loop, DPNs, or two circular needles (sock experience recommended). 


Materials to bring to class: 

  • Pattern : Choose from any top down, colorwork, sock patterns. Follow this link for suggestions! 
  • 2 skeins of sock weight yarn in 2 separate colors. Refer to your pattern for yardage amounts
  • US size 1 in your preferred style for knitting small circumference (magic loop, dpn, etc), or as called for in pattern
  • Homework: cast on and work ribbing

*If you are purchasing products before class starts, please allow time to select materials and have the yarn wound. If class occurs outside of shop hours, doors will open 15 mins prior to class start.
