Coffee Cozy Steeking Class (Knit)

Nervous to cut your knits? Steeking might seem scary, but not with Laura! Come learn how to make a coffee cozy AND learn to steek. This is a great intro class that will prepare you for cutting into larger projects like cardigans or seaming sleeves into a sweater. Start small with the cozy and learn the basics. Plus, you get a nice cup cozy for those lovely fall bevies. 

Prerequisites: Experience with knit and purl stitches; as well as knitting in the round.

Materials to bring to class:

• Non superwash DK weight wool in two contrasting colors (we recommend Kelbourne Woolens Germantown DK) in approx. 115 yards
• US 4 needles: either double pointed needles (DPNs); 12"; or 32" circulars
• Stitch markers
• Crochet hook
• Sharp scissors
• Pattern provided prior to class

Homework: Work the ribbing of the cozy so we can jump right into the colorwork!
