Colorwork Patchwork Square Class (Knit)

In this class we will be making colorwork patchwork designs based on the Saskie Knits book. This new book by Weichien Chan it full of patchwork style knits to create sweaters, cardigans, totes, blankets and slippers. We will be learning how to :
- Make the most of our hard work by using complementary colors with high contrast.
- Knit stranded colorwork flat, and learning intarsia basics
- How to join the squares together so you will be able to pick the design of your choice from the book.
- If you were not able to get a copy of Saskie Knits book, then the Heirloom Quilt Cardigan is a pattern with similar techniques.
Prerequisite: Experience with knit and purl stitches.
Materials to bring to class:
- Worsted weight yarn in contrasting colors
- Needles to match gauge
- Stitch Markers
- Darning needles
- Any pattern from the Saskie Knits book; or the Heirloom Quilt Cardigan pattern. Note: Pattern/ book are not included in class.
Homework: Bring a variety of colors to work on your palette
