It's Winterfest Weekend on First Street! Come pop by on Dec 12th between 12- 2pm for a fun Make It, Take It Event with Gretchen Wilson.
Indulge in a little holiday magic as YOU turn fluffy wool into solid fabric in just 15 minutes!! Using basic wet felting principles you can turn raw wool into a felt coaster with your own hands!! The coasters can be a canvas for further creativity, or used as they are. Each one is a unique expression.
All ages welcome. This is a simple felting craft that does not require sharp tools. Make a mug rug coaster for a sweet gift, or for your own cozy mug!
This is a drop in event, no registration. You may purchase in advance (bring your receipt!), or pay as you create. Please note, we do not have reserved time slots, table space is first come first served regardless of pre-purchase or instore purchase.
About the Instructor: Gretchen Wilson has been a shepherdess and fiber artist for over 3 decades in Washington and Montana. She raised dairy sheep, and owned and operated a Monroe woolmill, before spending time in Montana. There she created a textile education program at the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Modern Art in Great Falls. Gretchen holds an art degree from University of Washington and now enjoys a small spinner's flock with husband Rob in greater Snohomish.
